Grantham, PA - For the second season in a row the Messiah College field hockey team was honored with four All-Region selections by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association and Longstreth, the organization announced Thursday. The Falcons landed two players each on the First and Second Teams.

The Falcons were honored as part of two 16-player teams in the South Atlantic Region, one of six regions identified by Longstreth and the NFHCA across the nation.

Senior midfielder Natalie Ziegler and junior defender Gina Kellett took First Team honors. The Falcons' goalkeeper Molly Gebrosky and forward Juliana Hershey were honored as Second Team members.

Zeigler, a First-Team All-Conference selection and the Commonwealth Championships MVP, garners her first honor on the All-Region teams as a senior. The Myerstown, Pa., native scored six goals-- including two in the Commonwealth Championship game-- and tallied three assists for the Falcons on the year. Apart from scoring goals in critical situations, Zeigler's strong defensive play in the midfield helped lead the Falcons to their sixth-straigh conference title and a berth into the NCAA playoffs.

Kellett, the Falcons' second First Team recipient, lands a spot on the All-Region teams for the second time in her three years at Messiah after earning Second Team honors last season for the Falcons. A First-Team All-Commonwealth selection at defense, Kellett helped lead a Falcons defense that ranked in the top-10 nationally in nearly every statistical category.

Gebrosky, another First Team All-Commonwealth selection for the Falcons, earns her first All-Region selection in goal. The Latrobe, Pa., native finished the season with a 17-4 record with seven shutouts and a .739 save percentage. Gebrosky proved crucial in many of the Falcons' one-goal wins including a 3-2 win over perennial powerhouse TCNJ in late October.

Hershey garners her second selection to the All-Region teams, a year removed from First Team All-American and All-Region honors. Hershey tallied a team-leading 27 points for the Falcons this season on 10 goals and seven assists. The senior forward from Smoketown, Pa., finished her career with 52 goals and 21 assists for the Falcons. Hershey was also selected alongside Zeigler, Kellett, and Gebrosky to the All-Commonwealth First Team.
