Falcons Notch Two Top-Ten Finishes in Opener

Carlisle, PA – Benjamin Schott and Joshua Pardoe lead the Messiah men's cross country team in a solid season-opening race at nearby Dickinson College on Thursday evening. Competing in the Dickinson Light up the Night meet, the Falcons took third place out of five teams.
 
Schott's time of 16:16.0 was good for fourth place, while Pardoe finished in 16:31.3 to take ninth overall. Following those two were Alex Scheib (14th, 16:44.3) Kaleb Burch (17th, 16:53.0), and Nathaniel Pardoe (19th, 16:55.2).
 
As mentioned, the Falcons placed third with 60 points, behind Dickinson (24) and Washington and Lee (44), and ahead of St. Marys (Md.) (120) and Cheyney (155).
 
The Falcons will be off until Saturday Sept. 10 when they travel to Penn State University to compete in the Harry Groves Spiked Shoe Invitational.
