Westminster, MD - The No. 4 Falcons of Messiah College routed the Green Terror of McDaniel College 37-15 Wednesday night and improved 18-2 on the season. Messiah scored bonus points in six of their seven victories during the dual meet.

No. 2 Lucas Malmberg began the dual meet with a first period fall in 1:25 at 125 pounds and gave Messiah an early 6-0 advantage. At 133 pounds, Centennial champion Ryan O'Boyle captured a fall for McDaniel and evened the score at six a piece.
 
After the Falcons gave up a forfeit at 141 pounds, Greg Kabakjian put Messiah back in the win column with a 13-6 decision over Trey Mitchell. The most exciting match of the night came at the 157 pound weight class where Erik Meyer edged Cory Obendorfer with a 6-5 decision.
 
Obendorfer tallied a quick escape in the third period to come within one point of Meyer. Obendorfer fired off multiple attacks in the third period but Meyer held on for the win.
 
Messiah finished the dual strong by earning either technical falls or pins in the next five weight classes. At 165 pounds, Jeff Hojnacki had a dominant 19-3 technical fall over Wade Bishop and brought the team score to 15-14 in favor of McDaniel.
 
Derek Beitz added another first period pin for the Falcons at the 174 pound weight class in 2:48. At 184 pounds, No. 3 Josh Thomson tallied a first period fall over Ronnie Wuest in 2:33 and extended Messiah's lead to 26-15.
 
No. 8 Kyle Koser added another bonus point victory for Messiah with an 18-2 technical fall over Jake Pooton at 197 pounds. Nick Havener capped off the 25-17 dual victory with a pin over Taylor Avino in 5:35.
 
The Falcons will be back in action March 27 when they travel to Lycoming College for the Mideast Regional Championships.
