2014 IWLCA All-Region Teams

Grand Lake, CO – The IWLCA released their 2014 All-Region teams on Monday and three Falcons were listed among the award winners. Lizzy Keeney took home her third career All-Metro Region honor with a First Team nod, and both Emily Mumford and Claire Stikeleather were named Second Team for the first time in their careers.

Keeney finished her career with the Falcons as one of the most accomplished and decorated players in program history. Another dominant season this spring (71g, 37a, 99 DC) put her second all-time in goals (234) and points (324) and first all-time in draw controls (314). She is also fourth all-time with 90 career assists and her 99 draw controls this season broke her own single-season record of 88.

In her four years Keeney earned four All-Commonwealth honors, was named the 2011 conference Rookie of the Year, and was honored as the MAC Senior Scholar-Athlete for women's lacrosse.

With the honor Keeney joins Rachel Dirksen and Taylor Phillips as the only Falcons to earn three Metro All-Region awards.

Mumford earned the All-Region award for the first time her career. This season she led the Falcons in both groundballs (51) and caused turnovers (39), and she finished her career sixth all-time with 94 caused turnovers.

The dynamic defender also earned a First Team All-Commonwealth honor this season, her second-straight conference nod.

Stikeleather's recognition comes in her second season. Last season's Commonwealth Rookie of the Year did a bit of everything in 2014 and finished with career-highs in goals (32), assists (14), groundballs (43), draw controls (33), and caused turnovers (18). Like Mumford she also took home her second-straight All-Commonwealth award this season.
