Grantham, PA - Kristine Jackiewicz scored a career-high 21 points to lead William Paterson over Gettysburg College Friday night, as the Pioneers advanced into the Second Round of the NCAA Championships Tournament for the third-straight season. William Paterson held the Bullets to just 32.5% shooting from the field in the win.
Leading scorer Floriana Borova shot just 1-14 from the field, but was picked up by teammates Jackiewicz, Dana Jeter (16 points), and Brittany Harden (11 points). Ashley Marfo scored seven points and grabbed a team-high 13 rebounds. Jackiewicz and Jeter added 12 and 11 rebounds, respectively.
Jessica Porter led Gettysburg with 22 points and 11 rebounds, as the Bullets finished their season with a 21-7 record. Rianna Doane and Alyssa Isler added 11 points and 10 points, respectively.
With the win, William Paterson (21-7) advances to face Messiah College in the Second Round on Saturday at 6:00 p.m.
