NSCAA 2013 All-Americans  |  Messiah's All-Time NSCAA All-Americans

Kansas City, KS – Two days after being named to the NSCAA First Team Mid-Atlantic All-Region team, Alicia Frey and Nikki Elsaesser were honored as All-Americans. Frey's honor came for the First Team and followed a Second Team election in 2012. Elaesser was named to the Second Team this season for the first All-American award of her career.

Frey's All-American award may be a final honor in what has been a highly decorated career with the Falcons. She has been a four-time All-Commonwealth performer, a conference Rookie of the Year (2010), a conference Player of the Year (2013), and was twice named All-Region. Initially a forward for Messiah early in her career, Frey played primarily in the midfield and on defense in her final two-plus seasons.

In Frey's four seasons the Falcons accumulated a record of 91-5-3 winning four conference titles and two NCAA Division III National Championships (2011, 2012). She also finished her career with 33 goals and 18 assists.

Elsaesser led the Falcons this season with 20 goals and six assists, and has already accumulated 31 goals and 17 assists in just two seasons. This year she also was named the Commonwealth's Offensive Player of the Year and has twice been First Team All-Commonwealth.

The Falcons completed the 2013 season with a 20-3-1 record. Despite falling short of qualifying for their 10th-straight Final Four, Messiah did earn its seventh-straight Commonwealth Championship and advanced to the NCAA Sectional Semifinals.
