Harrisburg, PA - Messiah College junior Matt Burkhart won the PSU-Harrisburg Spring Classic on Saturday, shooting a second-round best 73 to finish with 142 strokes over the two-day event. Burkhart had shot a 69 to lead the field on Friday.

Burkhart's 142 strokes was six ahead of his closest competitor, Chris Lucarelli (148). The Messiah junior was named to the All-Tournament Team.

As a team, the Falcons finished fourth overall with a combined score of 622 (310-312). Albright College won the Classic with a team score of 599 (293-306).

For the Falcons, M'Cheyne Farling finished second on the team with a 155, followed by sophomore Brian Loesser at 162.

Freshman Justin Sisson (164) and sophomore Scott Demmer (173) rounded out the Falcons' five golfers.

The Falcons return to action on Monday, April 16, when they travel to Bent Creek Country Club to compete with Franklin & Marshall College.
